Last week we went out of town a bit to go to a festival. We saw things, and the kids enjoyed the on-site playground, but we didn't buy anything or spend any money beyond gas money for that matter, much to the dismay of the resident 5-year-old.
This weekend we stayed put and went to a little community party right here in town. Not only was there some free food and other fun freebies, but we also found a well-stocked mulberry tree with a few branches hanging down where we could reach them. Next to no drive and lots of free stuff . . . as they say, there's no place like home.
