Requiem for the Red Computer

Yesterday we got the long-awaited phone call regarding the status of our ailing laptop. They've decided it would be cheaper to give us a new computer than to fix it. :( It was a nice computer; it enabled me to be online on the main floor. It made possible many blog posts. It even went to Utah with me. And now it is no more (although I'm hoping that they'll let us at least have the hard drive back). Now, the new dilemma . . . to take the new computer, or to take the check they also offered? Computers are good, but money at this time has "transmission" written all over it. What to do, what to do. Meanwhile, RIP little Red, and once again, I love my old, faithful Mac.
