Around Easter every year it seems that I hear about someone or other observing their own version of Lent by giving something up, frequently chocolate or some other junk food. Well, Easter is long gone, but the medical profession has decided that I'm up for that kind of Lent for awhile, albeit a highly involuntary Lent (blame it on my visit to the vampires).
But . . .
Everyone knows what comes before Lent: Mardi Gras. So, if it must be Lent, then I am all the more glad that I have prepared for it by celebrating Mardi Gras this week. :)
