Ups and downs

The good news, for Amanda, is that Dad has worked out a way for us to be able to get her to and from preschool. The bad news, for Mom, is identical to the above. Mom is struggling to find warped solace in the idea that someday this is what we will hold up as leverage when Amanda is a teenager. Some parents say things like, "I spent a zillion hours giving birth to you" and such to try to make their kids feel grateful. My argument will be, "I spent a zillion hours corralling small boys so you could go to preschool." Don't know that she'll remember preschool by then, but at the rate our family has been adding small boys over the past few years, there's a chance that the "corralling small boys" part might mean something to her. Oh well. Anyway . . .
